Today the Discovery Green Houston opened for the first time this year. Discovery Green is a great place to spend a day with your family or friends.

The 12 acre park is centrally located near the George R. Brown Convention Center, Minute Maid Park and Toyota Center. It features a 1 acre lake, a children’s playground, an ampitheater, public art works and dog runs for both large and small four legged friends.

Designated as a “green space” in the middle of bustling downtown Houston and even has wi-fi services for people that want to stay connected while enjoying a peaceful park.

Discovery Green Houston also hosts numerous events including concerts, pilates classes, green markets, writing workshops and exercise classes - a lot of them are even free!
