You have to love the speed at which eco-friendly products are coming down the pipeline. At this rate, the world will become a much greener place in no time.

One new product takes junk and turns it into something useful. Mohawk Flooring is turning plastic bottles into carpet they can sell to the public.

Mohawk uses around 14,000 discarded plastic drink bottles each minute. In the aggregate, this ends up being about 25% of all the recycled bottles in the U.S. being used by Mohawk. The company goes through a tot 215 million pounds of bottles each year.

Since plastic bottles are such a huge problem, Mohawk has come up with a slick way to make the most out of the refuse.
