Eco Friendly water bottles are here. Culligan has been listening to the uproar created by environmentally aware consumers, and has come up with an answer to all of the bottles being thrown out every day. Bottled water may be healthy for consumers, but it’s not that great for the planet.

The increased emphasis has put Bristow and Culligan at the local forefront of the debate. As a company, Culligan is placing emphasis on point-of-use water systems. A point-of-use system filters tap water and reduces the waste of plastic bottles, Bristow said.

She also said it saves gas because consumers don’t have to buy water from the store or have it delivered to their house.

“We don’t ever want our water to be green, but it is,” she said, smiling as she played on the definitions of the word. “Green water’s not good, but you can go green with Culligan.”

Awareness of the problem of plastic bottles has been getting more attention in the media. The plastic bottles used for most bottled water can be recycled, but few consumers do so religiously. That’s why solutions like this one from Culligan may be the solution.
