Eco-Lawn is a new way of planting grass. To the naked eye, the green Eco-Lawn will look just like your normal grass lawn, but there’s a twist.
A case in point is the Eco-Lawn that’s been place in front of the Unitarian Universalist church.

“It’s something called Eco-Lawn,” Landscape architect Kathy Schreiber said. “People at the church were eager to try it because it has much deeper roots, so it doesn’t need to be watered. It’s shade-tolerant, and it requires little mowing and no chemical fertilization or pesticides,” she said.

“People liked the idea of an environmentally friendly lawn, and we’re on a shoestring budget. So low maintenance, for us, is good.”

Eco-Lawn is a simple concept. Take away the heavy pesticides and insecticides and go with a more organic grass. One big advantage of Eco-Lawn is that you don’t have to mow the lawn as often as you do with normal grass. Eco-Lawn grows much slower, and is extremely pleasing to the eye.

Savvy landscapers are going for more sustainable designs and Eco-Lawn is one more way of accomplishing that task. For more information: Eco-Lawn.
