NBC Using A New Eco-Friendly Truck

Everyone is getting in on the green act. That includes NBC, who has unveiled a new eco-friendly truck that will leave less of a footprint as it collects news. The truck will be unveiled on the Today Show today.

The Ford Escape truck is white and green and is a hybrid that uses not only electric and gasoline power but also solar panels and wind turbines to recharge the batteries for all of the electronic gear onboard.

All told the network is spending about $100,000 to outfit the truck, which they plan on using immediately. The truck will start covering the Presidential election this week.

The company is eagerly waiting to see how the truck performs in real-life situations.
