Reusable Grocery Bags

Reusable grocery bags are one of the kindest things you can use to carry your groceries home. I personally use canvas bags so I don’t have to use plastic or paper bags, which are both destructive to our environment.

Plastic bags take 10 CENTURIES to break down and paper bags are made out of timber.

Reusable grocery bags aren’t that expensive and many stores like Wal-Mart and local grocers offer them as another alternative to traditional paper or plastic bags. One nice thing about them is that 2 canvas grocery bags can do the lifting of 7 or 8 plastic bags.

The next time you go shopping, be sure to ask your checkout person if they have reusable grocery bags for sale.. and then buy and use them.

To make sure I never forget, as soon as I tuck my groceries away I put my bags back in the car for the next time.
